Exhibition Report: “be+Well”—New York City’s Largest
Wellness and Healthcare Trade Show
Terrace Heart Japan Co., Ltd. recently exhibited our medical wigs, “Five Star,” and our removable prosthetic breasts, “ReaLeaf,” at “be+well,” held in New York City.
be+well is one of New York’s largest health and wellness trade shows, bringing together companies and experts from around the world in the beauty, wellness, spa, and salon industries—all sectors related to health and beauty.
The event attracted a wide range of attendees, including the general public with a keen interest in beauty, as well as salon owners, hairstylists, and distributors. Many of them visited our booth.

Medical Wigs: Five Star
Many people have tried on
our medical wigs.
We presented samples of Japanese hair oil and shampoo to those who helped us with the medical wig try-ons.
Organic cotton-based
There was particular interest in the organic cotton material we developed in-house, which is used for the lining of our wigs.
Overseas, synthetic fibers are often used for wig linings, and many people suffer from itching and discomfort caused by wearing them for long periods.
Especially during cancer treatment, the scalp tends to become sensitive, and even slight irritation can be a burden.
As a result, we heard many comments expressing appreciation for the importance of the lining material.
We also received positive feedback regarding how our product is designed not only to look natural but also to ensure comfort and safety during wear.
Silicone design that requires no adhesives or tape
While the mainstream method overseas is to secure lace wigs using adhesive or double-sided tape,
we believe that safe and comfortable wear is particularly important for those with sensitive skin, such as individuals undergoing chemotherapy or suffering from alopecia.
Visitors to the event praised the product for:

Furthermore, in overseas markets where lace wigs are the mainstream, our 100% recycled mesh material
has also garnered attention as a new, eco-friendly option.
Techno Adjuster with Zero Tightness
Many medical wigs use hook-and-loop elastic straps for size adjustment.
However, it is not uncommon for people to experience discomfort, such as headaches or a feeling of tightness, due to the pressure from these adjustment straps.
Since this special film, which changes in response to body temperature, was a technology many visitors were seeing for the first time, some appeared skeptical at first.
However, once they actually tried it on, many commented, “It doesn’t feel tight at all” and “I could wear this for a long time,” and many agreed that it was comfortable to wear.
High interest in the ability to recreate natural hair whorls and partings using high-quality human hair
The medical wigs, featuring natural-looking partings and hair whorls recreated using advanced hair implantation techniques and made from high-quality human hair, attracted the attention of many visitors.
Those who tried them on checked their appearance in the mirror repeatedly, and we heard many comments such as, “It looks so natural” and “It’s just like my own hair.”
In addition to the realistic appearance, we received praise for the unique texture of human hair and the natural movement of the strands, allowing visitors to truly appreciate the high level of realism our products offer.
Removable prosthetic breast “Realeaf”
At the exhibition, we displayed prosthetic breasts in a variety of skin tones.
Some visitors were amazed by the coloring techniques that realistically reproduced skin texture and blood vessels, and even touched them with their fingers to feel their softness.
Given that many breast cancer patients in the U.S. reportedly choose reconstruction, we received positive feedback on the customization options—which accommodate diverse cultural backgrounds, including different ethnicities and body types—made possible by the use of silicone. Many visitors expressed appreciation for the fact that these products can be adapted to fit their individual lifestyles.
The exhibition allowed us to gain a real sense of the needs and potential in the U.S. market for these products as options that provide psychological reassurance and support an improved quality of life.
New Opportunities
for Global Expansion
In the United States as well, there is a very high level of interest in safe, secure, and comfortable medical wigs and breast prostheses,
and the quality of our products and their uniquely developed features have been highly appreciated by many people.
We also received numerous comments and feedback on our products, and the firsthand feedback from local attendees was a major asset for us.
Our future goals include promoting the adoption of Glue-Less medical wigs and supporting appearance care by using safe, secure, and environmentally friendly materials.
For those struggling with changes in their appearance due to cancer treatments or alopecia, products they can use with confidence greatly improve their quality of life.
We aim to leverage Japanese technology and quality to deliver comfortable wigs to people around the world.
Moving forward, we will continue to expand our OEM, ODM, and authorized retailer networks while actively promoting our products in overseas markets.

Our biggest feature is our unique silicone structure that requires no adhesive.
It allows for a secure fit without tape or adhesives, reducing strain on the skin.
Furthermore, we use organic cotton for the base material. Designed with a focus on breathability and a gentle feel against the skin, it is suitable even for sensitive skin or skin undergoing treatment.

In the United States, front-lace wigs are the most popular style and are highly regarded for their ability to recreate a natural hairline. However, many of these products require the use of adhesives and removers during application, which can cause skin irritation and discomfort for people with sensitive skin or those undergoing chemotherapy.
In the United States, a significant number of patients choose not to undergo breast reconstruction after breast cancer surgery, or do not undergo it immediately, leading to a growing demand for non-surgical alternatives.
Against this backdrop, our removable prosthetic breasts offer a natural appearance without placing a burden on the body, along with the flexibility to be worn as needed. A key feature is that even for patients who have chosen not to undergo reconstruction, they can be used to suit their lifestyle—whether going out, at work, or in formal settings.
